| Abstract/Description: | Danio rerio (Hamilton, 1822) is reported herewith for the first time from Andaman group of islands, which is a new addition to the freshwater fish fauna and also a significant insular record other than its known distribution range. The morphological description of D. rerio collected from North and Middle Andaman Island and the mainland, India topotypes are provided along with the molecular genetic comparison. |
