Abstract/Description: | The eggs of the marine polychaete Hydroides lunulifera are small and their fertilization is external. This animal is suitable for experimental studies due to a number of features such as the ease with which the sperms and eggs could be obtained, the prolonged breeding season and the relatively simple conditions under which fertilization and development are accomplished in the laboratory conditions. |
