| dc.description.abstract | Acttnoypyga echinites known as Deep-water red fish was collected and four tonnes were processed at Keelakarai. This is considered as one of the new resources for the Indian Beche-de-mer industry. During 1990 this species was fished and processed from Keelakarai, Periapatnam, Vedalai and Pamban.
