There are three major classes of microatgal pigments, Chlorophylls, Carotenoids and Phycobilins. Chlomphylls are green pigments and Carotinofds are yellow or orange pigment, which i s lfpophillc and associated in chlprotein complexes while phycobitins are hydrophitic. |
