In Medak district, DPAP – batch IV received funding for development of 30 watersheds in six Mandal and the project was implemented from 1998-2003 to treat 15000 ha with watershed development. 1. One of the main objectives of DPAP IV was to minimize the adverse effects of drought on production of crops and livestock and productivity of land, water and human resources. In the inception stage 10 of the selected sixteen watershed villages for impact assessment took up Entry Point Activity (EPA) that ensured community participation and awareness about the watershed project by providing support of funds for drinking water facility, village approach roads, soak pits......... |
