Description |
Matrix converters offer certain advantages over conventional AC-DC-AC conversion such as elimination of reactive elements, inherent bidirectional power flow capability, increased reliability and compactness. This paper explores the reactive and harmonic compensation capability of a matrix converter. Space vector modulation technique has been used for controlling the matrix converter. All the details of this work are presented.
