Description |
IIT Bombay has been transmitting its courses synchronously for close to a decade. This article explains how this has been achieved through satellite and web technologies. It also explains the social issues in popularising distance education amongst the faculty and students of IIT Bombay and the motivational techniques employed to switch over to the required technologies. IIT Bombay has one hundred courses that can be released to the public for free access.
