Description Al/SiCp/20%vol composite was fabricated by liquid metallurgy route and was tested in compression under the varying conditions of temperatures and strain rates. The effect of these parameters on flow stress of composite was analysed using strain hardening index and strain rate sensitivity. A. constitutive model for predicting the flow stress of composite under the conditions of temperature and strain rates is proposed. It is hoped that the analysis would give some insight iri selecting the process parameters during secondary processing of composites.
