Description |
The closed-loop speed control of a three-phase induction motor fed from a transistorized inverter with an adaptive hysteresis band current controlled pulse width modulation technique using a PC/AT (Intel 80286 with 80287) as a controller is described. The expression for the hysteresis band in terms of supply and motor parameters including stator resistance is derived in order to keep the switching frequency almost constant at 2 kHz. A detailed description of the scheme along with the realization aspect is presented. Typical performance features of the developed prototype are compared with the simulation results.
