Description |
In this paper, a simple control strategy for maximum power extraction from stand-alone wind energy conversion system using induction generator under variable speed and load conditions is proposed. This is achieved by varying the inverter frequency and modulation index depending upon the changes in load at the IG terminal. The proposed method eliminates the need of a speed encoder, and hence it’s an attractive sensor-less control method. The developed model is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation results are presented to validate the developed control strategy. The control algorithm is implemented on TMS320F243 DSP. Experimental results closely resemble the simulated results.
