Description Bacillus subtilis resorts to cannibalism to delay sporulation under severe nutritional limitation. We report the effect of temperature on the dynamics of cannibalism demonstrated by B. subtilis. A model consisting of a delay differential equation may explain the effect of temperature on the dynamics of cannibalism.
