Description GPS measurements carried out over the last five years have been used to monitor the structural deformation of the Koyna dam, Western Maharashtra, India. A GPS network that has been established by the GPS research group of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay for the purpose of deformation measurements and analysis of the Koyna Dam has been observed over ten epochs, from December 2000 to September 2004. This paper highlights the methodology and analysis techniques used for determining deformation and the results of the research work being carried out. The analysis of the results determines the degree of correlation between the change in reservoir level and the observed structural deformation of the dam.
