Description The analysis of fibre reinforced polymer composite (FRPC) structures requires special analytical formulation. An approach based on a higher-order sheer deformation theory has been developed and used. Generally this analysis, for a real life problem, imposes great demands on computational requirements. In the present work the emphasis is on the implementation of FRP analysis software on parallel distributed-memory machine. The parallelization strategy adopted is explained and some case studies are presented. The performance with respect to number of processors is given and the effectiveness of the parallelization for solving larger problems is demonstrated.
