A remarkable para-selectivity was achieved, for the first time, for the oxidation of phenol over novel titanium substituted hexagonal mesoporous aluminophosphate molecular sieves at room temperature, and that the catalysts also showed excellent activity for alkyl substituted phenols. (C) 2002 .
