Description |
We develop a simple Green's function for delta-function potentials with a hard core, and use it to calculate polarizabilities of negative halogen ions and multiphoton-detachment cross sections for these ions. The predictions indicate an influence of a resonance for two- and three-photon cross sections, and yield approximately universal relative amplitudes as functions of a scaled electron energy.
