Description |
A polyaniline/polycarbonate membrane impregnated with a receptor molecule di-tert-butylcyclohexano-18C6 (DtBuCH18C6) was employed as an electrochemical sensor for Sr-II ion in nitric acid medium. Behavior of the molecular device was studied as a function of variables like oxidation potential, crown ether concentration and nitric acid concentration. The sensor response was linear in the limited SO concentration range of 1 x 10(-10) to 1 x 10(-9) M, beyond which a saturation effect was observed.
