Description |
The importance of the application of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) for corrosion research is highlighted. Examples involving activation of In in Al-alloy sacrificial anodes, improvement of passivity in stainless steels weldments by N addition and deterioration of organic protective coatings are provided to illustrate various aspects involved in analysis of EIS data.
