Description |
The Log Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) antenna is extensively used for applications, which require broad bandwidth with moderate gain. The analysis of LPDA using Method of Moments (MOM) has been carried out by modeling the array of dipoles and the feeder network separately. The effect of radius of dipoles on the directivity, front to back ratio, and VSWR has been investigated, and optimum design has been proposed. The performance has been improved by additing extra elements on either side of the array.
