Description |
The solution for an elemental momentum or a heat source, based on Reichardt's hypothesis, can be used to predict the flux at any point in the downstream region of a three dimensional outlet. The derived theoretical expressions describe the variations of the mean momentum and heat flux in the developing as well as in the developed zone of the jet. Experimental observations are in agreement with the predicted values.
