Description |
We describe here the superconducting and structural properties of YBaCuO (123) thin films grown on crystalline garnet substrates using the pulsed laser ablation method. The superconducting properties, grain size and density of grains, depend mainly on the substrate temperature and the oxygen partial pressure during the growth of the film. The as-grown films prepared under optimized conditions were superconducting (T(c) > 90 K) with preferred a or a/b axis orientation only. The studies of transport and superconducting properties of various films deposited at different substrate temperatures are reported here.
