Description |
Electropolymerization of pyrrole from aqueous solutions results in the formation of a thin film at the liquid\vapor interface if the electrode is partially immersed in the liquid phase. The liquid\vapor interface (l-v-i) polymer film grows more rapidly than the polymer on the electrode surface immersed in the monomer solution. Accumulation of surface-active pyrrole monomer or oligomers at the interface causes such film formation. A detailed study of this l-v-i film was carried out and is reported here. (C) 2004
