Description |
This article proposes (in efficient high-gain multilayer 2X2 antenna array for wireless applications. The prototype antenna consists of a microstrip antenna which feeds 2X2 array of square parasitic patches fabricated oil a low-cost easily available FR4 superstrate. The patches on superstrate are suspended in air at lambda(0)/2. The structure is designed, fabricated, and tested. The measured VSWR is < 2 over 5.725-5.875 GHz frequency band. The proposed antenna with 2X2 array of square parasitic patches provides, 80% efficiency and SLL of - 24 dB with an associated gain of 14.9 dB. The proposed structure call be packaged inside all application platform. (c) 2008
