Description |
Some general properties of a hydrogenic system confined to a circular disc are analyzed. Based on these, simple and accurate expressions are developed for the energies, critical radii, and some other properties, for all the states and all radii of confinement. Model wave functions are considered for some states, which give accurate values for the energies and other properties, and provide an insight into their physical structure.
