Description |
ortho-Selenation of benzenethiol has been achieved by using the reagent n-butyl-lithium-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA) and elemental selenium; reaction of cis-PdCl2(PPh3)2 with a solution of 1-lithioseleno-2-lithiothiobenzene gave the novel organoselenium heterocycle, dibenzo-1,2,5-dithiaselenepine.
