Description Addition of Ru(CO)4(C2H4) to Fe2Ru(CO)9(mu-3-Se)(mu-3-Te) and to Fe3(CO)9(mu-3-Se)(mu-3-Te) lead to a clean formation of the new unsaturated mixed metal, mixed chalcogen carbonyl clusters, Fe2Ru2(CO)10(mu-CO)(mu-4-Se)(mu-4-Te) and Fe3Ru)CO)10(mu-4-Se)(mu-4-Te) respectively. The Fe3Ru cluster is also obtainable from the photolysis of a solution containing Fe2Ru(CO)9(mu-3-Se)(mu-3-Te) and Fe(CO)5.
