Description |
An efficient synthesis of the antifungal agent (-)-incrustoporin and analogues based on ring-closing metathesis (RCM) is described. The ready availability of various allyl alcohols through the Sharpless kinetic resolution and esterification with a variety of substituted aryl acetic acids, followed by -methylenation and final RCM to get the targets makes this explored strategy suitable for rapid development of analogues.
