Description A family of 4-hydroxypiperidines based mono, bis, tris, and tetrakis unimolecular compounds served as efficient ligands in combination with inexpensive CuI to catalyze Ullmann coupling reactions. A wide range of N-arylated indoles, benzimidazoles, imidazoles, pyrroles, and adenines were synthesized in moderate to excellent yields.
