Description Development of Linear Low l>ensit\ Polyethylene, (LL,DPE)/EIigh Tc superconductor (YBCO) composites and their characterization for diamagnetic applications has been reported. High Tc superconductors are projected as potential candidates for large scale electronmgnetic shielding. YRCO is prepared by solid state sintenng technique and I.I.DPE is hlendcd in powder form \r,ith YRCO. The powder is then pelletized iollo\\,ed 17). sintcling and quenching. Elect~icnl and magnetic .properties of the composites \\sit11 various filler contents are investigated in detail. Morphology and microstructure of the composites are evaluated and discussed in detail. It has Leal found that the composites showed good magnetic le~itation indicating the potential electromagnetic shielding applications of these composites.
