Description |
After a detailed study of the utility of various alkaline processing aids in loosening the adhesion between the submucosa and muscular layers In animal casings, the authors recommend the use of 0.06 N sodium hydroxide solution for sliming of guts from animal casings with ease. Soaking of stripped casing in this solution also prevents any further bacterial proliferations. |
