Description |
Antibodies were produced in the chickens and were further used for bio sensing applications. In this study, a modified competitive ELISA method and GNP based dipstick assay for quantification was developed. This system was based on polyclonal antibody production in chickens. Conjugate was prepared using EDC/NHS method and then characterization study was done. This conjugate was injected in chickens to produce antibodies which was further isolated, extracted and purified from the egg yolks. Using gold nanoparticles, immunoassay based dipstick has been developed for the detection at nanogram levels. Quasi spherical monodisperse water soluble gold nanoparticles were synthesized and characterized using spectrophotometer. Bioconjugates like BSA-IgY and GNP-IgY were synthesized and characterized using spectrometer, FTIR and agarose gel electrophoresis. Various parameters were optimized for effective detection of analytes.
