Description |
Chitosan oligosaccharides are known to possess many biological activities and functional properties that are being introduced in many food applications, pharmaceutical, agricultural and environmental industries. Accordingly, experiments were carried out for the maximum production of chitosan oligosaccharide by immobilization using various carrier materials under submerged fermentation from PurpureociliumlilacinusCFRNT12 using chitosan solution as substrate. Various immobilizing materials were selected and introduced in the media for fermentation. The selection of a best carrier was done according to the analytical studies and enzyme assay values. The selected carrier was introduced to batch fermentation process for continuous production of chitosan oligosaccharides. 4 | |
