Description |
A study was undertaken for assessing the knowledge and adoption level of farmers about IFFCO products among the rice growers of Khurda district. Information was collected from 50 farmers from Khurda district. It was revealed that majority of the farmers were adopting IFFCO products for cultivating rice crops. Rice is the most important cereal crop grown in India. Many high yielding varieties have been evolved and successfully cultivated in different agro-climatic zones. Future increase in rice production will have to be achieved from less land with less labor, limited water as well as reducing the consumption of costly inputs like fertilizers and pesticides. Fertilizer is generally defined as "any material, organic or inorganic, natural or synthetic, which supplies one or more of the chemical elements required for the plant growth". Primary nutrients are normally supplied through chemical fertilizers. They are chemical compounds containing one or more of the primary nutrients and are generally produced by chemical reactions. Whatever may be the chemical compounds, its most important ingredient for plant growth is the nutrient content. For this project different types of rice growers were chosen at Prataprudrapur society which is situated at Balianta block of khurdha district, mini bank at Bhingarpur societies of khurda district, other societies of Balianta and Balipatna block for collecting data for the project. Samples are chosen from various location of khurda on the basis of questioner being prepared exclusively for this survey. All necessary questions being gather in the questioner such that the objective of the survey can be achieved. Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Ltd. (IFFCO) typically constitutes urea, NPK, NP, DAP, Bio fertilizers.IFFCO have 5 different plants for production those fertilizers. The 5 different production units are situated at AONLA UNIT, KANDLA UNIT, KALOL UNIT, PHULPUR UNIT, PARADEEP UNIT. |
