The competition between organizations has become tougher due to the globalization of the market place. In this context a study has been conducted to evaluate the customer preference of IFFCO Fertilizers in Khorda district during the year 2014-15.Thus the study was entitled on “Customer Value Evaluation of IFFCO Fertilizer” with the following objectives i) To conduct environmental scan to know the internal and external factors affecting the organization ii) analyzing the sales records for knowing the marketing potential & brand equity of IFFCO fertilizer iii) Analyzing customers satisfaction level to know why they are using IFFCO fertilizer iv) To study promotional activities to know what are new strategies of IFFCO using to gain the market share v) To provide managerial solutions for the betterment of the organization. Price, quality and time availability are main parameters of the “Customer Value Evaluation” that have to be fulfilled. This study pertains to the year 2014-15 in Khorda district of Odisha. Twenty farmers & one retailer from each block of Khorda have been selected for the study, thus making a total of two hundred farmers and ten retailers. Pre tested structured questionnaires have been used for the survey purpose. From the study it has been found that Urea has the highest market weight-age followed by NP, DAP, NPK. The brand name IFFCO has secured great value in the market in Khordha district. Among the feedbacks received from the farmers most important are on price fluctuation, non availability and lack of awareness about the schemes & policies of the IFFCO.From the retailer point of view, insufficient availability of Fertilizer. In the fertilizer business of IFFCO, societies are playing a vital role in Khorda district. The relationship between the supplier and the customer is very vital. A higher interaction between the two parties has the potential of increasing the customer value. Evaluation of strategic customer value of individual customers, done by using the Excel tool has been the main outcome of this research work.
