Description The coastal district vulnerability index was derived
for different coastal districts of Tamil Nadu based on the
Patnaik and Narayan model. The selection of the district
was based on assessment of coastal district vulnerability
index estimated for different coastal districts (Table 1) of
Tamil Nadu. Based on these parameters vulnerability
index was analyzed and Ramanathapuram had the highest
vulnerability followed by Kanyakumari and Nagapattinam.
