Description |
In this paper, a brief discussion is carried out on the application of the different techniques of echosounding. A deteiled appraisal of the presently used multibeam technique is mentioned. Some of the important discoveries of seabed features around Indian ocean is presented using Hydrosweep-multibeam installed onboard ORV Sagarkanya. A seabottom classification model is proposed which can be applied for multibeam backscatter data. Certain aspects of the multibeam backscatter signal data processing method is discussed. A new beamforming application is proposed for obtaining high density/ resolution bathymetry/ backscatter information.
