Description |
Climatic circulation in the upper levels of the Arabian Sea and western equatorial Indian Ocean are computed using a 3-dimensional, 33 level diagnostic circulation model. A steady state solution is obtained within 30 days of model integration. Model has been successful in computing all the major seasons. Computed currents are compared with available observations on currents at selected regions in the model area and it has been found that both agreed fairly well. Model results are also explained in terms of the forcing parameters and the dynamics considered in the model.
