Description The bathymetric and total magnetic intensity data collected along six E-W tracks were analysed and presented as stacked anomaly profiles. A first order basement configuration model was generated across the Bay of Bengal. The model studies indicate higher values of magnetization of the causative crustal blocks resembling oceanic crust and the average crustal thickness varies between 10-12 km except the region coverEd. by Andaman group of islands
