Description |
The topography of the sea floor is an essential tool for almost every exploration or exploitation program. Bathymetric charts are used for the measurement of topographic variation of the sea bed. The calibration by the echosounder by means of a bar check to use the correct speed and position fixing techniques is essential for the exploratory fishing. Tidal correction is another essential factor to be considered. Contouring is an excellent means to obtain the topographic information of the sea floor which in turn will be useful to study the morphology of the survey area. The topographic configuration, (bathymetry chart) and accurate positioning are the basic and useful tools for the exploratory fishing.
