The importance of integrated geoscientific studies is reiterated for underwater archaeological exploration. Geophysical systems applied for the detection of artefacts, ancient places and underwater sites/objects are explained and detailed with applications of case histories. Sampling alongwith various geological analysis and datings are suggested for their precise identification interpretation.
