Description |
This thesis examines the influence of ambient food factors in sardine larval survival. The aggregation response and inter-annual variability in sardine is explored using satellite-derived chlorophyll. Further, the study of larval transport of fish and shell-fish in three unique marine ecosystems along the west coast of India, namely the Gulf of Kachchh, Mandovi-Zuari, and off Mangalore, is carried out with the help of numerical modelling.
