Description |
Before the commercial and impact factor journals ruled the publications industry, many institutes were showcasing their scholarly research output in the journals owned by them or by other institutes/societies. The CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Goa also had one such journal titled ‘Mahasagar’ which ceased its publication in 1995. The article describes the online archival of this ceased journal using Open journal System (OJS). It also explains briefly the implementation processes & issues which were handled to make the journal archive system operational. The usage statistics of the journal shows that the scientific publications have value irrespective of their age
