Ultrasonic attenuation in mercury, zinc and gallium metals has been studied using the concept of a two-state thermodynamical model for the liquids near the melting points. Our theoretical results, so obtained, have been compared with the experimental values and necessary explanations have been offered for any deviations in the results. |
