Description |

Mössbauer spectroscopy has been used to investigate the cation distribution in ZnAlxFe₂₋xO4 spinel ferrites with the composition 0≤x≤1. All samples were prepared using the ceramic technique. A single phase formation of the compounds did not occur. It is confirmed by X-ray diffraction measurements. The variation in saturation magnetization of the samples at room temperature has been explained on the basis of site distributions and the strength of the exchange interactions between magnetic ions. |
