Description |
1882-1885
The relationship between the structure of a series O,O-diaryl O-n-propyl phosphorothionates and their nematicidal activity against Meloidogyne incognita and Rotylenchulus reniformis has been analysed using physicochemical parameters for hydrophobic, electronic and steric properties of the molecules by means of multiple regression analysis. The QSAR study has revealed that the nematicidal activity against both nematodes is dependent on the steric parameter for length of the para substituent [ΣL(p)] and electronic nature [Σσ] of the phenyl ring substituents. Different other parameters i.e. hydrophobicity (Σπ) against M. incognita and bulkiness of para substituent [ΣMR(p)] and length of meta substituent [ΣL(m)] against R. reniformis are also found influencing the respective nematicidal activity. |
