A study was carried out to find out the effect of relative humidity on the swallowing of food material in the intestine of silk worm. Results revealed that food ecology and environmental factors affect the life activity of the insect significantly. On increasing the relative humidity from 45 to 90%, value of time in midgut, hindgut and egestion of excretory pellet in silk worm larvae decreased. |
