A study was carried out at Cheraigaon Block of Varanasi, V.P. to estimate the economic analysis of fish production and its marketing. Results revealed that average cost of fish production was estimated to Rs. 12.55 per kg whereas its marketing cost was estimated to Rs. 126/quintal. Marketing cost includes transportation, weighing charges and maintenance. Cost of production includes its feed, labour, manure & fertilizer, seed, disease control, rent, interest and wear & tear. Average net income from fish production was estimated to Rs. 30/kg and the average net profit was estimated to Rs 16. 18/kg. |
