Cholera
is etiological agents of cholera. Samples contaminated with Vibrio cholera,
V. parahaemolyticus
and V. vulnificus were identified using PCR with
primers. We showed that fish and mollusks served as intermediate vectors of V.
cholera, V. parahaemolyticus
and V. vulnificus at Busan city in Korea.
Three species was found in the examined fish and mollusk at all markets in
Busan and was found in all seasons. In most cases, the bacteria were isolated
from the epithelial intestines of fish. Only three species of molluscs were
contaminated with V. parahaemolyticus. V. vulnificus was found in
Sebastes pachycephalus (Jacopever, Schlegel’s blac rockfish)

and Anguilla japonica (Japanese eel).
