Description |
750-755
Antagonistic activity was performed by agar overlay method and phylogenetic characterization of the potential strain was carried out by comparative sequencing of 16s rRNA technique. Ethanol precipitation of the strain has been analysis by Mass Spectrophotometry (MALDI-TOF). An epibiotic bacterial strain SGAA-2 was isolated from the gorgonian coral, Subergorgia suberosa. The Exiguobacterium strain SGAA-2 was found to exhibit highest zones of 6mm and 5mm were noted against two test strains Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Mass analysis has shown that the mass of the molecules ranged from 1225Da to 1451Da. |
