The biochemical composition of salt marsh grass, Porteresia coarctata was investigated in this present study along with subsequent analysis of relevant physico-chemical variables. In this study, the relationship between the nutritive components of the species and the ambient environmental parameters was established. P. coarctata collected from regions of high salinity showed significant decrease in protein content. |
