Recently, Bacterial Foraging Optimization Algorithm has been of great interest in global optimization for industrial control. Escherichia coli’s social foraging behaviour is the inspiration for BFOA.BFOA is very efficient in solving real-world optimization issues in various domains. E.coli’s biological behaviour of exhibiting foraging is emulated to an optimization algorithm called BFOA ,hence it is well-suited for Marine application..The chemotaxis step in BFOA is analysed using mathematical model. Analysing lead to a adaptive variant of BFOA,in which chemotactic step size is varied in accordance with current fitness of a virtual bacterium. |
